Keahi Hanakahi is a lover of music and is always ready to serenade. He spends many of his days entertaining the people and visitors of Moloka‘i. As a former hula student of Aunty Harriet Ne, his knowledge of hula and oli are strongly felt by anyone who is graced by his energy and presence. Uncle Greg has dedicated many years of service in Kalaupapa, offering educational and cultural tours. His aloha for his Hawaiian culture is shown through his children and his many mo‘opuna(grandchildren). All of his keiki are highly respected cultural practitioners that are raising their children, his mo‘opuna as holders of the lama kukui (torch of knowledge). His voice reigns strong through the valleys of Moloka‘i as he sings the praises of Hawai‘i, ‘ohana, and all the blessings of life.
